General Description

The Delivery Driver Team Lead (Team Lead) is responsible for the safe and timely transportation of food and interoffice mail between the partner sites and the kitchen. In addition to meal delivery driving, the Team Lead is responsible for the maintenance, repair and registration of all agency vehicles, as well as implementing a safety and training program for all staff and volunteers who drive Spectrum vehicles. Team Lead assists the Food Service Manager to coordinate delivery routes, and complete administrative tasks.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain efficient routes for deliveries
  • Participate in packing of all food, beverages and supplies for efficient deliveries
  • Oversee and ensure safe transport of meals and supplies and inter-office mail to each meal site, and maintain required schedule
  • Flexibility to be assigned to a daily route or cover for other drivers as needed
  • Ensure cleanliness of all food transport containers and vans on a daily basis
  • Responsible for updating driver procedure files, communicating to the team and ensuring each van is equipped with updated van binder
  • Supervise and assist in daily chores to prepare for next day production
  • Create/complete daily delivery forms
  • Follow all Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) principles
  • Follow all ServSafe principles
  • Accurately maintain required records
  • Assist Kitchen Manager with weekly driver’s safety and team meeting, and keep records
  • Responsible for ensuring timely maintenance and repairs for all company vehicles
  • Accurately maintain all required vehicle records
  • Responsible for ensuring each vehicle is equipped with updated information binder based on program needs and general safety
  • Develop and maintain vehicle policies and procedures
  • Train and enforce vehicle policies and procedures with all drivers
  • Keep accurate and timely records of all training
  • Make recommendations for improvements, new vehicles and equipment
  • Procure equipment and materials following agency procurement policy
  • Ensure cleanliness of vehicles on a regular basis
  • Report any problems with vehicles to Program Manager, and communicate with others impacted by maintenance schedules
  • Attend all training sessions and staff meetings
  • Assist Food Service Manager as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

Job title:         Weatherization Coordinator (WC)

General Description

The Weatherization Coordinator (WC) assists the Energy Program Manager (EPM) with managing the Energy Department’s Weatherization program of a socially responsible non profit, including developing and the execution of weatherization and other contracts. This includes, but is not limited to, assisting in managing the LIHEAP Weatherization, Department of Energy (DOE), and other contracts. The WC assists the EPM with ensuring Spectrum meets its obligations under the various energy contracts respecting our values of safety, quality, efficiency, documentation, and compliance.

With supervision from the EPM, the WC will be responsible for supervision over the weatherization office staff.

Primary Responsibilities

  • The WC must be proactive, have a high sense of accountability, and communicate well with a variety of people. The WC will work directly with the EPM in assisting with daily weatherization operations, weatherization customer service, contract compliance, subcontractor/supplier RFP’s, weatherization office staff performance evaluations, invoicing, and warehouse inventory. The WC will receive direct supervision from the EPM and work closely with the EPM on a daily basis.
  • Ensure weatherization assessments, installations, and inspections are scheduled on a timely basis.  
  • Under direction of the EPM develop and implement an organizational process for all contract job files including being reflected in our frontend software system.
  • Create purchase orders for subcontractor work to be done.
  • Assist EPM to ensure subcontractors are in compliance with their contracts.
  • Assist the EPM to make sure that production goals are met.
  • Provide customers with excellent customer service.
  • Assists the EPM in the selection process for subcontractors, and construction related vendors.
  • Maintain excellent relations with the California Department of Community Services and Development, which administers LIHEAP and DOE contracts; ensure contract compliance at every level.
  • Assist the EPM with the hiring process for weatherization office staff, training, superviservison, and development of weatherization office staff members; maintain a culture of continuous quality improvement and accountability. Stay active in daily communications with management.
  • Assist the EPM with regular safety training for compliance with all OSHA and other applicable regulations.
  • Provide weatherization intake staff contact information of prospective clients to ensure prospective clients receive an application.
  • Supervise, assist, and perform when needed, the accurate assembly and verification of all client documents to meet the necessary qualifications required by the weatherization program.
  • Supervise, assist, and perform when needed, the accurate entry of all new client information into our software system.
  • Assist with Weatherization data entry.
  • Perform year end inventory.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Friendly, customer service focused person with great telephone and computer skills.  Preferred candidates would be bilingual in either Spanish, Cantonese, Mandarin, Vietnamese, or Korean.

  • Ensure all incoming phone calls and customers are handled efficiently and recorded in our software system.

General Description

The Fitness Instructor will lead physical fitness classes to older adults at centers located in the East Bay. Classes will be evidence based programs that focus on balance, cardio, flexibility, and strength training. The Instructor will provide detailed instruction on proven techniques and methods of Fall Prevention and ensure each participant is following the program. This position is directly supervised by the Fall Prevention Program Manager.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Instruct Fall Prevention group fitness classes for seniors 60+
  • Assist participants in getting equipment for the class  
  • Educate participants on proper and safe exercise form
  • Enforce safety policies and procedures in group fitness activity areas
  • Educate participants in fall risk awareness and prevention
  • Attend continuing education workshops offered by Spectrum, our community partners and other affiliated organizations
  • Create and modify documents using Google Suite, and Adobe Acrobat
  • Register new participants
  • Maintain and compile class attendance information daily
  • Report participant fall information using computer program as assigned
  • Consult participants who have experienced a fall, identify the cause of the fall, and make recommendations about preventing additional falls
  • Attend staff meetings, 1:1 meetings with FP program manager,  training sessions and special events
  • Work with Spectrum Information Technology specialists to resolve technical issues and maintain Spectrum owned electronic equipment
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bilingual or Multilingual language skills highly desirable (Mandarin, Cantonese, Tagalog, Spanish)
  • High School Diploma required
  • B.S. in Kinesiology, Physical Education, Nursing or related field, with emphasis on older adults and aging,  or additional work in older adult fitness preferred
  • Experience in leading group exercise or physical therapy sessions
  • Experience working in a multi-ethnic setting preferred
  • Ability to work both independently without close oversight, and as a member of a team.
  • Obtain approved evidence based program instructor certification,  and complete other trainings as required by Spectrum
  • CPR and First Aid certification required
  • Must have a valid CA Driver’s License, car insurance that is acceptable to our insurance carrier, and reliable transportation

Physical Demands

  • Must have the ability to lead exercise classes 3-4 hours a day 3-5 days a week
  • Must have the ability to move furniture and equipment needed for class
  • Must have the ability to assist a participant who has had a fall, and call 911 if needed

The Senior Meal Partner Site Coordinator has the overall responsibility for the smooth operation of the partner site and providing a safe and welcoming environment for the meal participants.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Register all participants; ensure information is organized and current
  • Oversee the foodservice distribution and activities at the partner site
  • Assist in preparing a safe meal service environment
  • Develop and implement outreach techniques to expand and maximize site participation
  • Coordinate and supervise paid and volunteer site staff regarding meal service activities and paperwork. Ensure that record keeping is completed timely and accurately
  • Train and supervise paid and volunteer staff to ensure sanitary safe meal distribution. Report food-related problems to the Food Service Manager immediately
  • Recruit, train and appreciate volunteers
